Burton Team Update: A Week at High Cascade Snowboard Camp

There’s nothing like summer boarding at High Cascade Snowboard Camp. It’s where the next generation meets the current one, where legends hype up first-time boarders, and lifelong memories get made between slushy laps and Cobra Dogs.

Photographer Matt Roebke has spent the last four summers capturing the energy of HCSC, and according to him, the Burton week always hits different. From pipe sessions to camper rail jams, our team shows up not just to ride, but to inspire. We asked Matt to spend the session documenting the Burton Team and his take on what went down during Burton’s Signature Session on the glacier:

The Burton Team are for the children. P: Matt Roebke

Burton makes my job easy. After four summers at HCSC I always look forward to this week. The team shows up and owns the camp experience. From throwing down in the halfpipe to running a t-shirt press back on campus,

Burton puts the soul in snowboarding.

I’ve seen firsthand how the team continues to weave itself into the next generation of snowboarding through on hill rail jams and board giveaways. Burton doesn’t just provide gear; they shape the culture, the confidence, and the progression that define HCSC.

In their rail jam, campers who may have never hit a box before were suddenly on their first boardslide. Ylfa cheered on the kids and then gave a signed board to a standout camper back on campus. It’s a privilege to photograph Burton and their involvement with camp. The Burton legacy is everywhere in my frame and it’s making snowboarding look more alive than ever.
