The 2018 Burton U·S·Open Snowboarding Championships are coming to Vail, Colorado, March 5–10, 2018. This is the longest-running snowboarding event in the world featuring five days straight of world-class competition and entertainment for FREE! Everything you need to follow along with the Burton U·S·Open, whether you’re in Vail or participating from a distance, is on the free downloadable app available now.
As the grand finale of the biggest competitive season to date, the Burton U·S·Open is the place to see the world’s best riders competing at the top of their game in halfpipe and slopestyle. An event put on by riders for riders, the Open is consistently described by the athletes as the best setup they ride all year. In halfpipe, Shaun White will be competing for his eighth Burton U·S·Open title (following on his first win in 2003—fifteen years ago!). Young phenom Chloe Kim will be defending her title for a third straight year. In slopestyle, crowd favorites Anna Gasser and Mark McMorris will both be defending their 2017 titles—and if these riders’ winning runs from last year’s Open are any indication (and they are) this will be both a historical and mind-blowing event!
