Burton Presents: Variable Conditions
"Can’t See Everything. Crust!! No Good!!"
That was literally (exclamation marks and all) the snow report that greeted Mikkel Bang, Christian Haller, and Japanese Burton rider Shota Suzuki on the first day of our Burton Presents trip. Japan is known for its legendary powder, but it threw a lot more our way than that. The hunt for snow covered Japan’s main and North islands, a bunch of resorts including Kiroro and House of Powder, some hiking, and eating a lot of tuna triangles. Eventually, it all paid off in Hokkaido with one epic day (and night) of pow runs.
